Do I need to pre-book before attending a class?
It is helpful to let me know that you will be attending. Spaces are limited so it would be useful to confirm. Remember you can save money by booking for the whole course. Course bookings are non-refundable. For workshop bookings I will endeavour to sell on your place if you cannot make the event you have booked for.
You can come along with a friend if you like, simply drop me a text or email and your place can be secured.
Just come about 15min before class to allow for time to fill out a registration form and get comfortable.
What should I wear and what do I need to bring?
Please dress in loose comfortable exercise clothes (barefoot in the yoga room). Your temperature may vary throughout the class so layers are recommended. You may also like to bring something warm for relaxation at the end of the class.
Water is available at the Exeter Natural Health Centre but you are also welcome to bring your own water containers. Please bring water to the Topsham class.
Please bring a yoga mat to the Topsham class. I will bring a few with me but it is best to bring your own. I will also carry a few blankets but I'd recommend that you also bring a blanket to the Topsham class.
The Exeter Natural Health Centre Studio is fully equipped.
Class preparation
Avoid a heavy meal prior to the practice and do not eat anything for at least two hours before commencing the class.
Is the studio always open?
Doors open 15 minutes before scheduled classes.
What changing facilities do you have?
Changing and toilet facilities are available for men and women. You are welcome to take your valuables (phone, wallet, keys, etc.) inside the yoga room, but please remember to turn off your mobile.
Can I leave class early if necessary?
It is not recommended to leave before the completion of your practice. We respectfully ask you not to leave until class has been closed. Each class ends with a period of final relaxation (savasana) which typically lasts 5-10 minutes. Its the best bit. don't miss out!
I am pregnant, when can I start with prenatal Yoga?
As with any exercise during pregnancy, you should always get the green light from your clinician before starting Yoga. I recommend that you start with Prenatal Yoga within a specialty class.
Please take responsibility for your own body, only you know if a posture is right for you. If you become tired or uncomfortable, release from a posture and rest on your mat. Please ask your teacher any questions, at any time.
Feel free to contact me with questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing you in class! Om Shanti x
